Since I started this blog late into the school year I thought it would be fun post pictures and events that happened before we began. What's a better time to start than the beginning of the school year.

For preschool we just piece together different things depending on what we want to focus on as we do not follow a set curriculum.
Javier started 8th grade this year and while it is his last year of middle school, I can't help get anxious as I starting getting ready for next year... high school! Yikes!! The first year we homeschooled, Javi was in 6th grade and we chose to use an all in one computer curriculum, it just wasn't for us. I loved the idea of self grading and minimal prep work for me but I felt that my son was just going through the motions and not retaining any of the information. For the past few years I have pieced together our curriculum, this year seems to be running very smoothly and he is flourishing.
We chose the following curriculum for his eight grade studies:
