In physical science, Javi has been studying velocity. We did a fun experience with eggs to see the difference of velocity versus speed. (I think they had more fun breaking the eggs).
The experiment was broken down into three sections to compare the how the direction an object moves affects the speed (velocity). First we let two eggs roll down next together moving in the same direction and speed, there was minimal collision damage. Next we had one egg at the bottom of the ramp (motionless) as the other egg was released from the top of the ramp. This had a bigger impact of damage. Finally we set up two eggs to both be released from two different ramps heading towards each other at the same speed. This resulted in the most damaged!
